Cold seeped in through the marble as rusted red work platforms swayed in the breeze. What was once an anticipated facelift to one of the most beloved buildings in all the city had, like most other vanity projects, been postponed indefinitely. Curious passersby would study the work that had been begun years ago, shake their heads at the injustice, and move along. Such a shame that such a beautiful building should go to waste they would mutter. So it was that rowdy young boys would throw rocks at the windows until one by one, they were broken clean through. The building just sank further into itself, abandoned, as the wind continued to blow.
